After spoofing the found footage horror movie with his "Haunted House" pair of films, Marlon Wayans now plans to do the same with erotic romance drama, with "Fifty Shades of Black" (you just had to know he’d use that as the title).

Details on plot aren’t public, although, really, it’s a spoof of an existing movie, so anything probably goes. But Wayans doesn’t necessarily like the term "spoof," as he shares in the video interview below with Comedy Hype. It’s more of a humorous homage to the original film, which he hopes both fans of his, as well as fans of "50 Shades of Grey" will appreciate.

IM Global will finance the film (they got behind the "Haunted House" movies as well), which is set for release next year.

Wayans will of course star, but will also produce, and write the script with producer/writer Rick Alvarez and with Mark Tiddes (director of the "Haunted House" movies) directing.

Executive producing are IM Global’s Stuart Ford, Matt Jackson and Glendon Palmer.

"We’re excited to be back in business with IM Global doing our comedic remix of this movie,” Wayans said. “Sex and comedy go hand-in-hand and I’m looking forward to having fun with this project. It’s amazing when a film of this caliber comes along begging to be made fun of. I’m really happy to be doing what I love with people I love to do it with. That double entendre was intentional."

IM Global will shop the project at the Cannes Market next week. 

Collectively, both "Haunted House" movies grossed over $80 million worldwide, which may not seem like much, but, keep in mind that both films were made quite cheaply – the first cost $2.5 million; the second, $4 million.
