Zaya Wade, who recently celebrated turning 16, is a model in Miu Miu’s latest fall/winter campaign. This is her second campaign with the Italian high-fashion brand. The new collection, Miu Miu Live!, features several top-notch models, including Wade, actors Emma Corrin, Mia Goth, Zhao Jinmai, singer-songwriter Ethel Cain and models Amelia Gray Hamlin and Annabelle Weatherly.

The campaign’s cast delivers a message of representation. It is meant to capture “the notion of movement everywhere and nowhere” and “a place between real-time and time to come.” The models were shot in “transient, democratic spaces in shades of gray.

According to People, the campaign was shot by Zoë Ghertner. Lotta Volkova styled the models, while Edward Quarmby oversaw the creative direction. Each model wore bright oversized outerwear, sheer stockings and branded bags for a minimalistic aesthetic.

Wade’s fellow model in the campaign, Emma Corin, who goes by they/them pronouns, also revealed the aftermath of them coming out queer.

“In my mind, gender just isn’t something that feels fixed,” Corin told Vogue. “I don’t know if it ever will be; there might always be some fluidity there for me.”
