Vivica A. Fox is well known for her performances in Independence Day, Kill Bill and Set It Off. However, in recent years, she has become well known for her role as Candace Mason, the older sister to Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), on the FOX drama Empire.

Now, fans of Fox should prepare to see more of her in the show’s upcoming sixth and final season. In an exclusive from Deadline, it was announced that Fox was upgraded from a recurring star to a series regular when the show premieres in September. She has recurred on the show in some capacity since Season 2.

Recently, Fox made waves when she starred in and produce four films for Lifetime that aired in July: The Wrong Stepmother, The Wrong Boy Next Door, The Wrong Mommy and The Wrong Tutor.

Empire’s sixth and final season will air on FOX starting September 24, starring Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Trai Byers, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Serayah, Andre Royo and Fox.
