I haven't watched episode 2 yet, but I will before episode 3 airs tomorrow night. You folks been keeping up? And if so, your thoughts on the series thus far, 2 episodes in?

This is one a small handful of new fall season shows I was really looking forward to checking out; and I'd say that episode 1 didn't disappoint, overall. Sure, I could highlight some aspects of it that I didn't care for; but, unlike some other new series, this one held my interest more than enough that I'll surely return for episodes 2 and 3.

It's great to see Andre Braugher headlining this; An actor I think we'd all love to see get more and more screen time (both on TV and in theaters), Mr Braugher takes the lead in this new ensemble ABC drama titled Last Resort.

What's Last Resort about, for those just joining us?

The project centers on the crew of the U.S.S. Nevada, a nuclear submarine, who, after disobeying a suspicious order, become fugitives. They land on the island of Sainte Marina, where they take over the NATO Listening Station and declare themselves an independent nuclear nation.

Braugher stars as Captain Marcus Chaplin, the commander of the U.S.S. Nevada, a combat veteran, leader and a patriot, but very much his own man.

Last Resort comes from Shawn Ryan, creator of The Shield – the same dude who's teamed up with Eddie Murphy to reboot Beverly Hills Cop as a TV serieas.

The Emmy award-winning veteran actor will likely be most recently remembered for his Emmy-nominated work on the cancelled TNT dramedy Men Of A Certain Age

Notable supporting roles for black actors especially, include Sahr Ngaujah of Broadway's Fela, playing a character named Mayor Julian Serrat, of the island of Sainte Marina; and Sahr/Serrat features in this clip preview of tomorrow night's episode 3, titled Eight Bells, in which Captain Marcus Chaplin (Braugher) organizes a search for 3 missing crew members, which leads him to Mayor Julian Serrat (Ngaujah).
