$10K Web Series Screenplay Contest Deadline | June 30th

The Rockstone Foundation is currently accepting submissions for its Web Series Screenplay Contest, which is sponsored by Black Women’s Entertainment Network and promises a guaranteed production deal for its grand prize winner.

Founded in 2002 by H.M. Coakley (writer/director of the 2006 campy urban thriller Holla ), the Rockstone Foundation is a non-profit organization striving to provide skills, resources, and opportunities to urban filmmakers.

According to Rockstone, the winning web series pilot script will be selected, optioned, produced for up to $10,000, and aired on the Black Women’s Entertainment Network’s website (bwenetwork.com). While anyone can apply for the contest, the web show must feature a Black woman in a lead role.

For contest guidelines and to apply online, visit http://www.rockstone.org/contest.htm. The winner will be announced in early August 2011.
