1st Glimpse At Noel Clarke In New 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Trailer

I think we can probably now safely say that Noel Clarke will indeed make it to the release print of Star Trek Into Darkness given that we get our very first glimpse of him in the new trailer that was just released today.

Recall an interview he gave earlier this year, when he said that he wasn't entirely certain that his character would make it to print, given how these things usually go, and the fact that he had a role in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, but his scenes were completely gutted from the finished film that many of you saw.

In that BBC interview, he stated, "as far as I'm aware, I'm still in the movie," adding, when asked to explain, "You go out there and do a big film, and you don't know what they're going to cut…"

And he's right, you don't know. And even though we see a glimpse of him in the trailer below, it's still not 100% certain that he will. But let's hope so!

As you may recall, Clarke's character has still yet to be fully revealed, other than the statement that he'll be playing a family man with a wife and child; but no word on who this family man is, and how plump his role will be in the film.

I interviewed him about a week ago, in advance of his Storage 24 heading to USA shores; so watch out for that interview to be posted in coming weeks, closer to the film's opening.

But back to Star Trek Into The Darkness… as in the first trailer, they continue to really play up the whole "darkness" thing, suggesting that a film that will be a lot darker than the first Star Trek movie a few years ago. Or as I called it, the Dark Knight effect.

Check it out below; Zoe Saldana as Uhura is in there as well of course; Clarke is in there for a very quick second, so you might miss him if you're not looking for him (Star Trek Into Darkness will premiere on May 17th, 2013)
