WGN Season 2 of WGN’s critically-acclaimed drama "Underground" will debut on Wednesday, March 8 at 10 p.m. ET, the network announced today. The season will introduce legendary abolitionist Harriet Tubman, who will be played by Aisha Hinds in a recurring role. Executive producer John Legend will also be appearing this season, portraying famed reformer Frederick Douglass. Season 2 will focus on the Macon 7 and their continued struggle for freedom within an America on the cusp of a civil war, picking up in the aftermath of their epic escape attempt. The season will be comprised of 10 hour-long episodes, and stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Rosalee), Aldis Hodge (Noah), Jessica de Gouw (Elizabeth Hawkes), Alano Miller (Cato), Christopher Meloni (August Pullman), Amirah Vann (Ernestine), and Marc Blucas (John Hawkes) will all return.
