2021 SAG Award Nominees: 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom,' 'One Night In Miami' And More Snag Key Noms

While the Golden Globes nominations from Wednesday were mostly a wash, Thursday’s Screen Actors Guild nominations were marginally better.

SAG is giving shine to the ensembles of Black-led movies, nominating Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and One Night in Miami for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Viola Davis was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Counting his role in the ensembles of both Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Da 5 Bloods, Chadwick Boseman has four posthumous nods, including Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role. Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah) and Leslie Odom Jr. (One Night in Miami) were also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.
