GMA news anchor Amy Robach is making headlines for her alleged affair with her fellow co-anchor T.J. Holmes. And despite being married, sources told Page Six that the journalists are “not ashamed” of what happened.
The Daily Mail released photographs of the pair getting extremely comfortable with each other in a New York bar. Robach and Holmes can also be seen holding hands during the outing as they sat in an Uber.
And at another date, video evidence shows Holmes affectionately grabbing Robach by her butt as the she leaned against the car trunk to load their bags after checking out of a remote cottage near Minnewaska State Park.
An insider told Us Weekly that the relationship between the two GMA co-anchors had “blossomed from a close friendship” while working together on GMA3 back in 2020.
“They always had a spark and their work trips away together brought them even closer,” the insider revealed. “They have been trying to keep their relationship a secret until they were ready to announce.”

Before joining the ABC News Team, she worked for a number of major networks, including MSNBC where she acted as a stand-in for a number of shows including Morning Joe and Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

Amy Robach is certainly catching heat for her involvement in an the alleged affair. And according to reports, she and her soon-to-be ex-husband are in the process of officially calling it quits. To learn more about who she is, here are five facts about GMA news anchor Amy Robach:
1. Her Cancer Diagnosis Affected Her Marriage
In 2013, Amy Robach would receive a call that no man or woman wants to hear: a diagnosis of stage 2 invasive breast cancer.
“It can make me emotional literally thinking about it right now,” Robach explained on GMA. “When I first got diagnosed, it’s just a whirlwind of so many decisions … and it all happens so quickly.”
As a result of her cancer diagnosis, Robach underwent early menopause at the age of 40. She also endured a double mastectomy and multiple rounds of chemotherapy.
And even though the GMA news anchor defeated her battle with cancer, she recalls her marriage taking a beating in the process.
Robach spoke with People in 2015 to explain how her diagnosis affected her relationship with Shue for “several months.”
“We’d gone to couples therapy. Oh my gosh. Several times at different points in our marriage and we’re not shy to say that that has been a huge part in our success as a couple that we work at it and we get help when we need it.”
2. Her Family is a Modern Brady Bunch
In 2010, Amy Robach married her soon-to-be ex-husband Andrew Shue, an American actor known for his roles in Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210.
As a result of their union, the pair share five children, all from previous relationships. Robach has two daughters — Ava and Analise — from her first marriage to Tim McIntosh. And Shue shares three sons — Nathaniel, Aiden, and Wyatt — with his former wife Jennifer Hageney.
“We’ve been described as the Brady Bunch,” Robach joked about her blended family in an interview with Us Weekly. “We don’t have an Alice. That’s my biggest complaint.”
3. She and Andrew Shue Argued A Lot Within Their First Year of Marriage
For many couples, marriage is no walk in the park. It requires a lot of hard work from both parties. Not to mention, it also requires dedication and compromise to make it last. And according to Amy Robach, her marriage to Andrew Shue was not always an easy task.
In an interview with Us Weekly, she explains how the newlyweds engaged in heated arguments within the first ten months of marriage.
“We were learning how to live with each other,” she said. “We would have blowout fights. Just so much passion between us. It was like clockwork —we called them the Friday-night fights. Everything that was making you crazy all week came out.”
4. She Created a Children's Book
Prompted by her cancer scare, Amy Robach and Andrew Shue created a book to teach kids the importance of respecting the diversity in others.
Better Together! is a story about a family of squirrels called the Squirrellys, who escape to the hollow of an oak tree after a thunderstorm ruins their woodland home. But unfortunately, a family of chipmunks named the McMunk family have the exact same idea.
The two families must learn to live together in order to survive, but they soon realize that they come from very different backgrounds.
Still, the two families come to learn the importance of compromise, and later realize that they are all better together.
5. She Credits Robin Roberts For Helping Her Beat Cancer
A cancer diagnosis can be emotionally and physically challenging for the patient. It can incite fear and anxiety over treatment options, changes in lifestyle and a potential change in quality of life.
But fortunately, when Amy Robach was diagnosed with breast cancer, she could look to her coworker Robin Roberts for support. In an interview with SheKnows, she detailed how Roberts helped save her life.
“Robin Roberts, when she first convinced me to have the mammogram, said to me: ‘If you walk into that mammovan and you get your mammogram, and you convince one woman to have hers, she will find her cancer early and her life will be saved,'” she explained, adding that “What I didn’t realise was that the first life I would save would be my own.”
As a result of her support, Robach tells People that she and Roberts “instantly became sisters,” adding that her advice provided another chance at life.
“But it’s more than that, though, because she and I both know how integral her role was in me getting that mammogram, which I completely credit with saving my life. We are forever bonded. We can speak without speaking.”
