50 Cent Officially Exits Starz Deal: What's Next And What Will Happen To The 'Power' Series And 'BMF'?

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is officially parting ways with Starz.

According to Deadline, the renowned rapper and Power franchise executive producer announced on Instagram that he is saying goodbye to Starz after not renewing his contract with the network.

50 Cent says their "no hard feelings" in ending his contract with Starz.

On Sept. 17, 50 Cent took to Instagram to announce that his longtime deal with Starz is officially over.

The rapper shared a gif of some celebrating Pittsburgh Pirates with the caption:

“This is my vibe right now ! STARZ deal done, we had nothing but success so no hard feelings 🏃🏽💨i’m out. I’ll let you know where we are going shortly. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

Under his G-Unit Film & Television, Jackson recently saw the second season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan premiere on Starz. Currently deep in production, a second season of Power Book IV: Force is coming to the platform, as is a season 2 of BMF, and a third season of Raising Kanan, all EP’d by Jackson. In addition to all of this, a third season of Power Book II: Ghost is set to hit Starz In the near future.

Fans do not need to worry as Jackson exiting the deal does not impact the status of those shows. He will also presumably remain an EP on those series as long as they are on the air.

The rapper is reportedly in talks with other streaming services and studios for a potential partnership.

Per Deadline, 50 Cent is believed to be entertaining multiple offers from streamers and studios for his G-Unit Film & Television. The current slate of the rapper’s production company includes 25 series in the works and projects in development.

An announcement of Jackson’s new TV home is said to be imminent.
