AMC Networks has released the official trailer for 61st Street starring Courtney B. Vance and Aunjanue Ellis.

The upcoming courtroom drama comes from Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society and Peter Moffat and J. David Shanks.

The series debuts on AMC on Sunday, April 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with its first two episodes also streaming on AMC+ and ALLBLK.

'61st Street' already has a 2-season order.

The series is described as “a propulsive courtroom drama” following “Moses Johnson, a promising, black high school athlete, who is swept up into the infamously corrupt Chicago criminal justice system.  Taken by the police as a supposed gang member, he finds himself in the eye of the storm as police and prosecutors seek revenge for the death of an officer during a drug bust gone wrong.”

The series is led by Vance (The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime StoryLovecraft Country) and also includes Ellis (When They See UsKing Richard), Mark O’Brien (City on a HillBlue Bayou), Holt McCallany (MindhunterLights Out), Tosin Cole (Doctor WhoHollyoaks), Andrene Ward-Hammond (Your HonorManifest) and Bentley Green (SnowfallSweet Magnolias).

Michael B. Jordan commented 9on the importance of the story saying in a prior statement, saying, “61st Street is an important commentary and observation of those impacted by the complicated history of race and the criminal legal system in America,” and former Outlier Society exec Alana Mayo in a previous statement. “Our admiration of Peter’s prior work and his personal experience with this subject matter are reasons we’re honored to be a part of bringing it to life. We are lucky to have found an equally passionate partner in AMC.”
