At this point, both Ayesha and Stephen “Steph” Curry are seasoned television hosts and presenters, and now, they’re working together.
The duo co-hosts the new HBO Max couples; game show, About Last Night. It is inspired by the classic ’70s/’80s game show, Tattletales.
The series invites three celebrity couples to join Ayesha and Stephen on an “exclusive date night to go head-to-head on uncensored relationship trivia and games, competing to see who knows their partner best. All’s fair in love and war as personality quirks and hilarious insights are revealed.” The show also features a bonus round that sees the couples take on the Currys as they compete for an additional donation to a charity of their choice.
In a recent interview with Shadow and Act, the Currys talked about bringing the series to HBO Max and why it intrigued them.
“Well, I’ve always wanted to do something with Stephen together,” Ayesha said. “We both have our production companies. We always wanted to do some project together, but it had to check mark all of the boxes for us. When this was presented to us. We did our research and went back in history and watched all of the old Tattletales episodes. We’re like, ‘We’ve got to do this.’ It’s so lighthearted and funny [and [it] gives a sense of community and just getting to know other couples a little bit better. And so for us, it was a no-brainer. Here we are now with the show, and it’s been such a fun process.”
Stephen is excited for viewers to experience all aspects of the show.
“It brings all different types of relationships and love and makes it very relatable. Some of the questions that we brought to each episode [were] a little spicy, but I think they all are concepts and parts of relationships that Ayesha likes to say, ‘Oh, y’all talk about that too? Oh, y’all have that in common? This in common?’ You can see that there’s a connection across the board. No matter if couples have been together for a year or 10 years, or we had a couple that [has been together] almost 30 [years]. All different journeys of relationships and that you can have fun throughout the whole process. That was the biggest thing that we wanted to come through the entire show.”
