Comedian Katt Williams earned an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his appearance on the FX show, Atlanta. Now, the comedian is headed to ABC!

Williams is slated to join the cast of the network’s Emmy nominated sitcom black-ish. As for his role, Williams will portray Perry, the father of Kyra, a new character played by Academy Award-nominated actress Quvenzhané Wallis.

By the looks of things, the cast has welcomed the comedian with open arms. Recently, Tracee Ellis Ross, who plays Rainbow Johnson, shared a clip on her Instagram welcoming Williams with a caption that read, ““LOOK WHO’S HERE ON BLACKISH ~ #kattwilliams Anyone remember the name of the episode he did on Girlfriends? Can you post the scene, and tag me and #KattTracee?”

For those unfamiliar, Williams appeared on Ross’ classic sitcom, Girlfriends, as Rick Beatty in “Sleeping Dogs,” the ninth episode of the show’s sixth season.
