After six seasons, comedian and actress Aisha Tyler is leaving The Talk. She announced the news on Thursday’s episode.

She is leaving to focus on her many other projects, which include acting in three television shows. Directing is also now a key part of her career. Her directorial debut, Axis, released this year, was funded on Kickstarter.

“I have had an amazing six years with you guys….We’ve had babies and weddings, and you know good things have happened, and you know I went through the biggest breakup of my life with you. I could not have done with this without you. I’ll never be able to thank you guys enough,” she told her co-hosts on-air.

She told the audience that while her last episode is August 4, that she would come back to guest host on occasion.
