After six seasons, comedian and actress Aisha Tyler is leaving The Talk. She announced the news on Thursday’s episode.
Tyler joined The Talk in its second season in 2011, and has been on the panel for the past six years. She is leaving to focus on her many other projects, which include acting in three television shows. Directing is also now a key part of her career. Her directorial debut, Axis, released this year, was funded on Kickstarter.
Tyler’s super busy schedule includes serving as a series regular on CBS’s Criminal Minds, voicing Lana Kane on FX’s animated series Archer and hosting Whose Line is it Anyway?
“I have had an amazing six years with you guys….We’ve had babies and weddings, and you know good things have happened, and you know I went through the biggest breakup of my life with you. I could not have done with this without you. I’ll never be able to thank you guys enough,” she told her co-hosts on-air.
Life is about change.
Sometimes it’s painful.
Sometimes it’s beautiful.
Most of the time, it’s both.
