In her book Self-Inflicted Wounds: Heartwarming Tales of Epic Humiliation, comedian, actress, and cohost of CBS’s daytime hit show The Talk, Aisha Tyler recounts a series of stories of “crushing personal humiliation,” while providing personal insights and wisdom she gathered along the way, from each lesson learned.

And now that book is going to become a TV series, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Specifically, CBS TV Studios has optioned rights to Tyler’s best-seller, with a search for writers underway for what may be a half-hour comedy series.
 
Reviews of the book I’ve read call it, generally, refreshingly, brutally honest, surprising, and laugh-out-loud funny, offering a strong voice and unique point of view.

Tyler and her management company, ROAR, will executive produce.
