According to a January 31 announcement from the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, “Untouchable” (the American remake of the French award-winning global blockbuster, “Intouchables”) will be filmed in Philly, and a local casting agency is already looking for extras in that area. Currently, men and women of all ethnicities, aged 18 to 70, are needed through March. To see the most recent casting calls, go to Herry-Loftus Casting’s Facebook page.

In addition, star Kevin Hart paid tribute to the beginning of production with an Instagram post of himself and co-stars, Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman, as well as director Neil Burger, and producer Jason Blumenthal at a table read for the highly anticipated project (photo below).

So it’s official! Add this one to Kevin Hart’s calendar of upcoming film releases.

We can also now add it to “How to Get Away With Muder’s” Aja Naomi King’s calendar, as she has been cast in The Weinstein Company film based on the French original that tells the story of a relationship between a wealthy white aristocrat who becomes a quadriplegic after a paragliding accident, and the young “street-tough” black man he hires to take care of him.

Bryan Cranston is the wealthy white man in the American remake, named Phillip; Hart plays the “street tough” black man, named Dell; and King has signed up to play Latrice, Dell’s baby mama (they have a son) who is frustrated by Dell’s inability to hold onto a job and stay out of trouble. But with his new gig taking care of the rich white dude, he starts to earn good money, allowing him to give Latrice sizable checks, much to her surprise.

Neil Burger is directing from a script penned by Jon Hartmere.

Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are producing.

Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein and G. Mac Brown are executive producing.

Deadline was first to report the news of Aja Naomi King’s cast.
