All About The Washingtons is done at Netflix.

The Rev Run and Justine Simmons scripted comedy landed at Netflix after ABC passed on it. It initially was a hot project from ABC Studios and Amblin, garnering interest from multiple networks.

It was the first major Black family sitcom at the network, and seemingly will be succeeded by Family Reunion starring Tia Mowry and Loretta Devine. The streaming giant has faith in the upcoming series, granting it a large, 20-episode order.

All About The Washingtons was an autobiographical scripted family sitcom that follows Joey Washington (Rev Run aka Joseph Simmons) and his wife, Justine Washington (Justine Simmons), playing fictionalized versions of themselves raising a family. After Joey decides to retire from a long career as legendary hip-hop royalty, Justine takes advantage of the opportunity to pursue a career of her own now that Joey is available to focus on raising the children and keeping the house in order. Their children were portrayed by Kiana Ledé, Nathan Anderson, Leah Rose Randall and Maceo Smedley.

The show was created by Jeremy Bronson (The Mayor), and Andrew Reich was the showrunner.
