If you are a fan of The CW’s football drama All American, now may be the time to worry.
Ahead of the network’s TCA tour presentation, The CW renewed all of its fall slate, except All American.
Because of this, it is clear that the show is in danger of not being renewed. When asked about the fate of the show, The CW network president Mark Pedowitz said, “We are extremely proud of that show. We think the production qualities and the storytelling of that show is up there with Jane and Crazy Ex. At this point, it is nothing to do about the show. We are going to sit down in May and determine what the needs are at that moment. I am very positive about it. It’s going to be a conversation in the scheduling room, but it is a show I’m proud to support.”
When further probed about why the show was not listed with the renewals if it’s not canceled, Pedowitz said, “Well, one of the things that will happen is we’re running the full 16 episodes. The show is staying on the air. I am a huge supporter. If you get an opportunity I got lucky I’ve already seen episode 15, which is some of the best TV you will ever see it will make it up on Netflix around March 30, March 31. We’re going to be curious to see how it does out of season streaming at that point. And that will help give us some more determination.”
