Chelsea Tavares, who has heavily recurred on The CW’s All American for two seasons, has been promoted to series regular for season 3.

The upcoming season of the show kicked off production this week.

Her character, Patience, attends South Crenshaw and is the girlfriend of Coop (Bre-Z). She is an aspiring musician who is determined to do her music her own way.

The second season of the show ended on a cliffhanger as Spencer (Daniel Ezra) seemingly decided to return to South Crenshaw and leave Beverly Hills in order to save the school.

Inspired by the life of NFL player Spencer Paysinger, the series also stars Taye Diggs, Samantha Logan, Jalyn Hall, Greta Onieogou, Monet Mazur, Michael Evans Behling, Cody Christian, and Karimah Westbrook.

Deadline first reported this news.
