IN CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH TD, CFC AND CLEMENT VIRGO PRESENT: ‘AN EVENING WITH PAM GRIER & JENNIFER BEALS’

Presented by TD in celebration of Black History Month, CFC (Canadian Film Centre) and Clement Virgo are pleased to host a special evening in conversation with iconic actresses Pam Grier and Jennifer Beals.

A lively and inspiring cross generational conversation with Pam Grier (JACKIE BROWN, COFFY, FOXY BROWN) and Jennifer Beals (FLASHDANCE, THE BOOK OF ELI, ”The Chicago Code”) about the changing landscape of film and television, and the roles and opportunities available for black actresses.

The evening will explore their inspirations for entering the film business, the choices they have made as actresses, and the challenges faced along the way. From co-starring together on the acclaimed TV series “The L Word”, to carving out their own unique career paths, Grier and Beals will also draw on their personal experiences to discuss the impact of being a role model both on and off the screen.

What: To commemorate Black History Month, CFC and Clement Virgo will host a special in conversation with actresses Pam Grier and Jennifer Beals. Presented by TD.

Where: Cineplex Odeon Varsity and VIP Cinemas 55 Bloor Street West, Toronto. 7 – 8:30 p.m.
