New cast additions previously announced include Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby and Sian Brooke.

And joining the newbies, announced today, will be Angela Bassett who has signed up to play the C.I.A. director. No word on how involved her role will be in the overall story.

The Paramount Pictures project is set to be released on July 27, 2018 in 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D.

Earlier this week, we announced that Bassett had reunited with her “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Muurphy for a Fox TV series on first responders titled “9-1-1” which is set to premiere on the network in 2018.
