Anthony Hemingway has been tapped to executive produce and direct the pilot for CBS’s drama pilot, Murder.

The potential series is based on the BBC miniseries of the same name.

Its description: “This new take on the investigative drama explores crime through the unique and often-conflicting perspectives of cops and killers, witnesses and victims, friends and family. Shot like a true-crime documentary, the series invites the audience inside the emotional journey of an investigation, allowing them to discern the truth and judge the suspects’ guilt or innocence for themselves.”

Teyonah Parris is currently the only known cast member, announced as one of the leads, Det. Ayanna Lake.

The prolific producer recently exec produced and directed episodes of the Emmy-winning American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson, and does the same for Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.
