Saturday Night Live is opening up the year with two first-timers as Ariana DeBose will be the host and rapper Roddy Ricch will be the musical guest. The two will make their debuts on Jan. 15.

This comes on the heels of DeBose’s critically-acclaimed turn as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. She is widely favored to be nominated for an Oscar for her work in the film. His sophomore album Live Life Fast, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Saturday Night Live is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.

The long-running show was the #1 entertainment program last season in the 18-49 demo and won eight Emmy Awards in 2021, including Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.
