Ariana DeBose met fellow Oscar winner Morgan Freeman at the Oscars and was instantly starstruck!
While backstage at the 95th annual Oscars on March 12, the West Side Story actress came face-to-face with Morgan Freeman.
In the Live with Kelly and Ryan clip which was also shared to DeBose’s Instagram, the actress gets mesmerized by the Invictus actor as he walks up beside her during the coveted award ceremony.
“I just really respect and love you a lot, sir,” she says after freezing at the sight of Freeman standing right next to her. The two shake hands before DeBose proceeds with, “And my name’s Ariana and it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“How do you do, Ariana?” the Shawshank Redemption actor responds, clarifying how to pronounce her name correctly.
After their interaction, a clearly overjoyed DeBose moves to the side while Freeman speaks with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest.
On Instagram, DeBose captioned the video of her and Freeman’s interaction, “Wholesome moments only. It was an honor to meet you sir @morganfreeman !”
