Though When They See Us was egregiously shut out of the Golden Globe nominations on Monday, the much more diverse slate of Critics Choice Award nominees was unveiled on Sunday.

The Critics Choice Association voters made a point to recognize young Black talent, including giving Zendaya, her first major awards nomination for Euphoria, and a Best Drama Series nomination for the Akili McDowell-led David Makes Man.

But the biggest splash was made by 18-year-old Asante Blackk, who was nominated for an Emmy earlier this year for his work in Netflix’s When They See Us. The Critics Choice Association has nominated him twice for two roles this year: Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for When They See Us and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for This is Us.  Blackk posted about his nominations on Instagram.

The winners will be announced on  Jan. 12, 2020 when the ceremony airs on The CW.
