Atlanta is about to start filming Seasons 3 and 4.

According to Deadline, the cast of the series will travel to Europe, including London, Amsterdam and Paris, to start filming the two seasons.

The cast’s trip overseas is scheduled for Mar. 23, and filming is expected to start April 5. FX’s John Landgraf said to Deadline that both seasons won’t be entirely shot overseas–one season will take place in Europe, while another season will take place in Atlanta

“One of them shoots primarily in Europe and one primarily in Atlanta,” he said at the time. “It is the intent to shoot them all at one time, back to back. However, the availability has been pushed back because of COVID. That had to do with our sense of when we could return to work safely and then we had to co-ordinate all of the cast for what is shooting two seasons at once. Heartbreakingly for me, it has been pushed back a little bit,” he said at the time.”

The third season of Atlanta was supposed to air January of this year, but the show was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The series had already been in a brief hiatus because of several projects creator and star Donald Glover and Lakeith Stanfield were a part of, such as The Lion King and Judas and the Black Messiah, the latter of which is currently streaming on HBO Max.
