Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY has made another acquisition.

The prolific filmmaker’s film collective has acquired Sonia Lowman’s education film, Teach Us All. It’s set to debut on Netflix on September 25.

The film’s description reads, “In September 1957, nine African American students were selected to integrate the previously all-white Little Rock Central High School in Arkansas. The enrollment of these students known as the “Little Rock Nine” was met with violent, racially charged opposition and became a seminal mark in the Civil Rights Movement. Lowman’s TEACH US ALL juxtaposes narratives of current students in Little Rock, AK with recounts from two Little Rock Nine members, then expands it’s scope to case studies from New York City and Los Angeles. The film weaves together interviews, archival images, and news footage to present one of the most urgent civil rights issues of our time; quality education for all children.”

Teach Us All is the seventeenth feature acquired by ARRAY, the last being Damani Baker’s The House on Coco Road.
