The first trailer for Back on the Strip, starring Wesley Snipes, J.B. Smoove, Tiffany Haddish, Spence Moore II, Bill Bellamy and more, has been released.
Gary Owen, Faizon Love Raigan Harris and Collen Camp are also featured in the film.
The film follows a man who loves to Las Vegas to start over, but eventually becomes a part of a Black male strip club. According to the synopsis:
After losing the woman of his dreams, Merlin moves to Las Vegas to pursue work as a magician, only to get hired as the frontman in a revival of the notorious Black male stripper crew, The Chocolate Chips. Led by Luther – now broke and broken – the older, out-of-shape Chips put aside former conflicts and reunite to save the hotel they used to perform in while helping Merlin win back his girl.
The film is written and directed by Chris Spencer and executive produced by Steven C. Markoff, Keysin Chen, Sherwin Jarol, Dan Fellman, Kathy Hao, Mishi Crowe, Daniel Diamond, Jared Underwood, Andrew C. Robinson, Slava Vladimirov, Kip Konwiser, Vanessa Rodriguez Spencer, Farouk Hadef and Carol Braidi. Producers include Haddish, Snipes, Geno Taylor, Missy Valdez, Spencer, Eric Daniel, Elie Samaha, Donald Kushner and Jeru Tillman.
Haddish will also make her biggest return to the spotlight in Girls Trip 2, which was recently announced by producer Will Packer. Haddish told TMZ that she will star in the film if her co-stars want her, but she was surprised there were fan movements aimed at getting her written out of the film.
