With the Bad Boys franchise’s third film, Bad Boys for Life, out in theaters this weekend, it has now been revealed a fourth film in the franchise is now in the works. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Friday.

Bad Boys for Life was initially branded to be the last and final film in a trilogy. However, given the box office success that is anticipated for the flick and the rave reviews from critics, it looks like the opportunity couldn’t be passed up!

Spoiler alert: Despite the “one last time branding” of the film’s trailers, the ending is very open-ended.

Chris Bremner will write the script for the fourth film after working on the third one.

Bad Boys for Life, which also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Nunez, Kate Del Castillo, Nicky Jam and Joe Pantoliano, is in theaters now.
