Barkhad Abdi has joined the cast of the currently untitled sequel to “Blade Runner,” although no word on what role he’s signed up to play.

The “Captain Phillips” Oscar nominee joins the previously-cast Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, and Robin Wright, as well as Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri and Dave Bautista.

No word on what roles any of them have signed up to play either.

Denis Villeneuve is directing the movie for Alcon Entertainment, from a script penned by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, based on the Philip K. Dick 1968 novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”

The sequel story isn’t public at this time, other than that it will pick up several decades after the end of Ridley Ridley Scott’s 1982 original film. Production is set to begin next month.

Warner Bros will open the film October 6, 2017.

Abdi was most recently seen alongside Helen Mirren and Aaron Paul in thriller “Eye in the Sky.”
