Barry Jenkins has now signed on with HBO.

Jenkins, who has his upcoming series The Underground Railroad with Amazon, has now signed an overall TV deal with HBO and HBO Max. The deal includes the stipulation that A24 will executive produce Jenkins’ projects under his Pastel production company for HBO and HBO Max. HBO and its streaming counterpart will also work with Jenkins and his production partner Mark Ceryak on cherrypicked projects that aren’t covered under the deal.

The deal marks a new phase in Jenkins’ career, which last saw him sign a two-year overall television deal with Amazon Studios. The deal also brings Jenkins back with A24 for the first time since Jenkins’ Moonlight won the Oscar for Best Picture.

Jenkins’ upcoming The Underground Railroad will debut on Amazon Prime this year.
