Evelyn Lozada will not be part of Basketball Wives moving forward. “I am no longer going to do Basketball Wives,” she told Justin Sylvester in a recent chat with E! News’ Just the Sip. “I think that it’s time for me to open up the universe to other things and it’s been a hard decision because I can do it with my eyes closed. But it’s so difficult and it takes so much energy and it’s not the most positive energy.”

The past few seasons have been rough for Lozada. In addition to reuniting with her former BFF Jennifer Williams and falling out once more over rumors that Williams spoke negatively about her daughter, Lozada has been embattled in beefs with other co-stars.

She and her longtime frenemy Tami Roman nearly came to blows when Roman accused Lozada of lying about the nature of the domestic violence incidents she experienced with her ex-husband, football player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. Fans also complained that Lozada continues her mean girl behavior with newbies, including OG and Cece Guiterrez. Lozada has been accused of making racist and colorist comments to both women.

“Sometimes you have to say ‘Alright I gotta walk away from this’ – I have to close the door,” she continued telling Sylvester. “So I’ve been feeling this type of way for the past few seasons. Miami days, we would have scenes and I didn’t care what happened in those scenes, I’d walk away. But now I have a conscious of what I say and what I do and what my kids are going to see. I walk away from it feeling heavy.”

This is the second time Lozada has quit the show. Following the conclusion of Season 5, she left and had her own docuseries, Living Lozada, for two seasons.

Though Lozada is saying goodbye, some familiar faces are returning. Hip Hollywood exclusively reports that video model Brooke Bailey, clothing designer Angel Brinks, DJ Duffey, and Brittish Williams are returning. Bailey and Williams were cast members of Basketball Wives: LA. Brinks and Duffey appeared on the overall franchise together.

Filming for Season 10 of Basketball Wives is set to start soon.
