'Basketball Wives' Star Brooke Bailey Confirms Death Of 25-Year-Old Daughter Kayla Nicole Bailey

Basketball Wives star Brooke Bailey recently suffered a devastating loss, confirming that her 25-year-old daughter Kayla Nicole Bailey has died.

She confirmed the news on Instagram hours after initial reports surfaced on social media. Brooke joined the LA franchise for a season before returning for the show’s 10th season this year. Kayla was Brooke’s only daughter and sister to Brooke’s two sons.

Bailey thanks everyone for their condolences

Brooke shared a series of photos of Kayla in a post she captioned: “Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey 💜🕊💔 This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon 🙏🏾.”. She later shared dozens of posts and tributes to her Instagram Stories.

“My baby girl is so Loved by all of youuuuu!!! The love and support my family has received today is unreal and so appreciated,” she wrote in her Stories.

The 25 year-old was in a car crash

It is reported that Kayla died from injuries she sustained in a car accident. The young woman was a certified hair stylist in Memphis. The driver of the vehicle also died after they collided into a tractor-trailer, The Shade Room reports.

Both Kayla and the driver were wearing seat-belts in the head-on collision.

In another post, 45-year-old Brooke shared that she had “been fasting and praying for days,” and says she “thought it was for something else.

She added: “It was God preparing me for this moment in my life. Although, I was not prepared. I am grateful for the 25 years he Blessed me to have HIS child. To love her, to hold her, to teach her, to comfort her. She was my happiness on earth.”
