Bel-Air is making some major changes ahead for season 2 of the show, which is currently in production.
According to Deadline, the Peacock original series has promoted Carla Banks Waddles to showrunner after TJ Brady and Rasheed Newson stepped down from the role over creative differences.
Due to this transition, filming has been put on a brief hold.

Banks Waddles is stepping into her new role as Bel-Air‘s showrunner after serving as co-executive producer on Season 1 of the hit series and the executive producer of the crime comedy-drama Good Girls.
In addition to taking over as Bel-Air‘s showrunner, she will also be in an executive producer role for Season 2.

3. TJ Brady and Rasheed Newson will remain executive producers on 'Bel-Air'.
During the casting of Bel-Air in 2021, Brady and Newson stepped in as showrunners. They were the third showrunners for the show before it hit the air. They replaced original showrunner Chris Collins and Collins’ short-lived replacement, Diane Houston.
Despite working as showrunners during season 1, the pair have stepped down from the coveted role but remain part of the production team.
