'Bikini Moon' Set To Hit Theaters: Condola Rashad Plays A Homeless, Former Marine Who Gets Exploited By A Documentary Film Crew

Bikini Moon is finally getting a full release!

The Condola Rashad-starring film had its festival premiere in 2017 and will now be in theaters October 12. The film is a U.S./Canadian/German co-production.

In the film, blurring the lines between fiction and reality, Rashad stars as the title character, Bikini, a charismatic, restless former Marine who returns from Iraq and unwittingly becomes the focus of a documentary film, as she attempts to re-integrate into society and gain custody of her daughter.

The film explores issues of everyday surveillance and exhibitionism while also searching for intimacy.

Will Janowitz, Sarah Goldberg and newcomer Sathya Sridharan round out the film’s starring cast.

Veteran Macedonian award-winning filmmaker Milcho Manchevski directs.
