A fitting episode (it’s Halloween) from the third season of the “Black Folk Don’t” series, the satirical documentary project that challenges common stereotypes of African Americans.

The brainchild of director-producer Angela Tucker, embedded below an episode that touches on an issue that, long ago, became a running joke on this blog, and among black cinema lovers – black characters in movies (especially Hollywood movies) dying early, and not living until the end.

The fourth and final season of “Black Folk Don’t” is currently underway, just in time for the 2016 presidential election, tackling the voting habits of African Americans that are so crucial to this year’s hotly-contested political battle. Catch up on season 4 here.
