Shadow and Act has exclusively learned that VH1 has set the returns of Black Ink Crew: New York and Black Ink Crew: Compton.

The both series will be back on Feb. 21, with New York premiering at 8 p.m. and Compton following at 9 p.m.  

Black Ink Crew: New York sees the team return “to the Brooklyn flagship shop stronger and better than ever before. Shop owner and mogul Ceaser continues to elevate the Black Ink brand, while keeping the people closest to him from tearing it down.”

This season’s cast for New York includes Ceaser, whose family drama is unfolding in front of the world; Tatti proving that she is qualified for the leadership role she’s in as she zens her way to success,despite brewing legal troubles; and Alex, who is between Donna and his Black Ink family since she is on the outs. Ted, Puma and Young Bae are also set for the season.
 
The Black Ink Crew: Compton team is back with the drama as well, with KP striving “to uplift his community and reclaim his place as leader of the crew.”

Katrina “Kat Tat” Jackson returns to the franchise for the first time in four years, being “the first BIPOC woman to own a tattoo shop in Beverly Hills.”

The Compton cast also includes Lemier, who sees his food truck business is expanding. He welcomes a new member to his family with his fiancée; Nessie returns with her voice rooted in strength; Ink Drippin’ resorts to holistic healing as he “puts the pieces of himself together again”; Barbie, Vudu Dahl, Alana , Tim and Star round out the cast, adding the necessary spices needed.
