Race And Class Intersect Against A Backdrop Of Gentrifying Oakland In Trailer For Daveed Diggs' 'Blindspotting'

The first trailer for Sundance favorite Blindspotting has been released.

After its premiere at the festival, Lionsgate acquired the rights and will release it in theaters June 27.

From Daveed Diggs and Rafael Cesal, it stars Diggs, Cesal, Janina Gavankar, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Ethan Embry, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Wayne Knight.

The film follows (Daveed Diggs) who must make it through his final three days of probation for a chance at a new beginning.  He and his troublemaking childhood best friend, Miles (Rafael Casal), work as movers, and when Collin witnesses a police shooting, the two men’s friendship is tested as they grapple with identity and their changed realities in the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood they grew up in.
