A clip from Qasim Bashir’s third feature film, A Boy. A Girl. A Dream., has been released ahead of its premiere at Sundance later this month.

Omari Hardwick and Meagan Good both star in the film which is being produced by Datari Turner via his Datari Turner Productions. Basir is directing from his own script.

Jay Ellis, Dijon Talton, Kenya Barris, and Wesley Jonathan round out the cast of a movie that will center on a Los Angeles club promoter named Cass (Hardwick), who meets a woman named Free (Good) on election night 2016, as Donald Trump pulls ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for electoral votes to win the White House. In a series of events that occur through the evening, Free challenges Cass to revisit his broken dreams.

Datari Turner, who currently has a first-look deal with Entertainment One for unscripted television, is the producer, while Good and Hardwick are executive producers along with Tim Weatherspoon, Louis Steyn, TJ Steyn, Phil Thornton, Jash’d Belcher and Jamal Childs.
