BronzeLens Secures 3-Year Sponsorship Commitment from Turner

Following the announcement that the Atlanta-based festival has been approved as a qualifying festival for the Short Film Awards category by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the BronzeLens Film Festival (BLFF) has also now secured a three-year sponsorship commitment from Turner, the Time Warner company.

“Support from Turner will allow BronzeLens to continue be a leader in producing interactive experiences designed to empower, entertain and educate attendees from various film and television industry disciplines, students and the general public”, said BronzeLens Executive Producer Kathleen Bertrand. “We are thrilled and thankful to be engaged in a long term relationship to champion opportunities and access for people of color.”

Turner is also collaborating with BLFF to launch a multi-faceted Recruitment Lounge during the festival, which runs from August 23-27 in Atlanta. Information about opportunities and openings in corporate, creative, and for talent will be available to festival attendees.

“BronzeLens is an incredible platform to showcase talented filmmakers,” said Angela Santone, executive vice president and global chief human resources officer for Turner. “Turner is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion on and off the camera. In partnership with BLFF, we will promote the next generation of leaders who can bring a wide range of experience, ideas and perspectives to the industry.”

More details about the BLFF and Turner Recruitment Lounge will be announced at a later date.

Founded in 2009, BronzeLens is dedicated to bringing national and worldwide attention to Atlanta as a center for film and film production for people of color. Its mission is two-fold: to promote Atlanta as the new film mecca for people of color; and to showcase films and provide networking opportunities that will develop the next generation of filmmakers.
