Newcomer Tiffany Tenille has been cast in the title role for Jezebel, the upcoming feature debut from Numa Perrier.
In 2016, Numa and Jezebel were selected as part of Tribeca Film Institutes Through Her Lens directors program focused on women.
Jezebel will chronicle a woman, who during the last days of her mother's life, crashes with five of her family members in their Las Vegas apartment. In order to make ends meet, her sister introduces her to the world of internet cam girls.
Fellow newcomer Stephen Barrington will portray Jezebel's brother, Dominic. Perrier will be Jezebel's sister, Livia.
Tenille was also seen in the short film, Roubado, which was a part of Issa Rae's "Short Film Sundays."
Perrier is the co-founder of the popular digital network and brand, Black&SexyTV. She has co-starred in several indie films, including Nefertiti Nguvu's acclaimed drama In the Morning, and is well known for her starring role as Chick in Black&SexyTV's digital series The Couple (which scored an HBO development deal). She will also play the lead role of Susan in Jennifer Sharp's A Great Movie.
Principal photography starts in Las Vegas in July. Numa is represented by UTA and Colin Stark management.
