nullSome quickie casting news…

First, Ray Ford (Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23) has been cast in the Fox pilot Fatrick, from co-creator/executive producer Nahnatchka Khan, who also created Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23
Fatrick follows a thirty-something man named Patrick, who was once the chubby neighborhood kid his peers teasingly referred to as Fatrick (as in the title), who realizes that his life isn’t quite where it should be.

Ray Ford has signed up to play Patrick’s long-time best friend Maurice, who’s known him since his “Fatrick” days, and now serves as his therapist.
Meanwhile, Dante Hoagland (30 Rock) has also been cast in the comedy as the 12-year-old Maurice.

And secondly, Zoe Soul (PrisonersReed Between The Lines), Michael K. Williams, and Carmen Ejogo, have all joined the cast of the upcoming sequel to the thriller The Purge  – a film I was so underwhelmed by, which takes place over one night in a future world when almost every kind of crime is legalized for one day a year, allowing citizens to “purge,” as in the title.

Frank Grillo, Zach Gilford, and Kiele Sanchez are all also members of the cast.

The Purge 2 is set for a June 20, 2014 release.
