In February of this year, Hulu announced a partnership with J.J. Abrams and Stephen King to create another limited series based on one of King’s works (the trio previously collaborated on the time-travel thriller “11/22/63” last year, which is currently streaming on Hulu for subscribers).

The series, a psychological-horror titled Castle Rock, is named after the fictional town in King’s native Maine which has served as the setting for a number of his novels, novellas and short stories. The series will explore the themes and worlds uniting King’s entire canon, while incorporating some of his most iconic and beloved stories.

André Holland toplines the series, playing Henry, a death row attorney with a unique and complicated history in Castle Rock, Maine. It also stars Melanie Lynskey, Jane Levy, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Scott Glenn and Terry O’Quinn.

A trailer was released during the show’s panel at New York Comic Con, and plot details are still being kept tightly under wraps.

Hulu issued a 10-episode order for the series.

Holland last appeared in a TV series in FX’s “American Horror Story: Roanoke” and he has a critically-acclaimed turn on Cinemax’s “The Knick.”
