"Cut to the Chase"
“Cut to the Chase” – Lyndie Greenwood and Blayne Weaver

Following the cast exodus after the end of last season, Lyndie Greenwood will be one of a few returning stars for another season of what looks to be a revamped “Sleepy Hollow” on Fox. But before the new season arrives, Greenwood will appear in a “southern indie noir thriller,” as it’s described, titled “Cut to the Chase,” which follows a petty criminal as he searches for his missing sister through the criminal underworld of Louisiana.

Blayne Weaver stars in the film; he also wrote and directed the Secret Identity Films and Capital Arts Entertainment production – his fourth feature.

Synopsis: Max Chase (Blayne Weaver) has always been on the wrong side of the law but his younger sister Isobel (Erin Cahill) always bails him out… Until the day she disappears. Isobel’s abusive boyfriend (Luke Sexton), the District Attorney (Patrick Kirton) and the city’s crime boss known as “The Man” (Lance Henriksen) are all suspects in her disappearance. Fearing for the life of his innocent sister, Max dives back into the world of his dark past while being pursued by The Man’s loyal enforcer (Patrick Day). Max’s only ally is a manipulative yet captivating criminal (Lyndie Greenwood), who is also on the run from The Man. Max will do whatever it takes to find his baby sister.

The film is set to make its world premiere on August 4 at the Strand Theatre in Shreveport, LA, and will likely travel the film festival circuit after that.
