Chadwick Boseman’s wife is going to court to protect the late actor’s assets.

According to reports, Boseman’s widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, has filed a probate case with the Los Angeles court system in an effort to be named the executor of Boseman’s estate, which has a value of nearly $1 million.

The case is necessary since when Boseman died in August from colon cancer, he didn’t have a will. Boseman’s parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, are also listed along with Ledward in the filing.

TMZ states, “According to the docs, Taylor gets nearly $1 million in personal property and assets, but that’s not a true reflection of Chadwick’s wealth and success. Most likely the majority of his assets are held in separate private trusts.”

Ledward and Boseman were married before Boseman’s passing.
