Kenya Barris’ Disney+ reboot of Cheaper by the Dozen has found its male lead. Gabrielle Union will be officially joined by Zach Braff.

Earlier this year, Disney+ said the film would focus on “a blended family of 12, navigating a hectic home life and their family business.”

Gail Lerner, who worked with Barris on black-ish, is the director. Barris is producing and co-wrote the script. He has been working on the film since he first set an overall movie deal with Fox before it folded into Disney. There were rumors circulating about the project earlier this year and Regina Hall was said to star.

This is just one of many projects Union has in development as an actress or producer.

The film is being projected for 2022 on the streaming service.
