OWN has dropped the full-length trailer for Cherish The Day. A teaser trailer for Ava DuVernay’s romance anthology series was released late last year via Shadow And Act. Also, a two-night premiere has been set for Tuesday, February 11 at 10 p.m. and Wednesday, February 12 at 8 p.m.

Chapter One of Cherish the Day, its first season, will chronicle “the stirring relationship of one couple, with each episode spanning a single day. The narrative will unfold to reveal significant moments in a relationship that compel us to hold true to the ones we love, from the extraordinary to the everyday. Xosha Roquemore stars as Gently James and Alano Miller stars as Evan Fisher. The couple meets and falls in love in Los Angeles, with the full season-spanning five years in eight episodes.” Cicely Tyson, Anne-Marie Johnson, Michael Beach and Kellee Stewart also star this season.

It was announced earlier that the series had achieved full gender parity with a production crew of over 50% women, including 18 female department heads.

Tanya Hamilton is the showrunner and directed the pilot, which DuVernay wrote. The series is produced by ARRAY Filmworks and Harpo Films in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. DuVernay, Hamilton, Paul Garnes and Oprah Winfrey executive produce.
