Courtesy of a brand new teaser, we know the season 2 premiere date for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

The second season, branded as part 2 of the series, will bow on April 5.

This may seem like a quick turnaround with the second season of a series premiering less than a year after the first, but if you remember correctly, when the show, initially developed for The CW as a Riverdale spinoff, moved to Netflix, it received a straight-to-series, twenty-episode, two-season order. Because of this, the two ordered seasons have been filmed back-to-back in its Vancouver shooting location.

There will be nine episodes in the second season (not counting the standalone Christmas special premiering on December 14).

A horror take on the classic Archie comic, the series imagines “the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”

Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot and Gavin Leatherwood star.
