Grammy-nominated singer and actress Chloe Bailey has lined up her first major film role.

She’ll star in Miramax’s supernatural thriller The Georgetown Project with Russell Crowe and Ryan Simpkins. The film is written and directed by Joshua John Miller and M.A. Fortin.

Production on the film has commenced in Wilmington, N.C.

According to Deadline, who broke the news of Bailey and Simpkins’ casting, the latter is “set to play Lee Miller, daughter of Anthony Miller (Crowe), a troubled actor who begins to unravel while filming a supernatural horror movie.” Bailey will play Blake Holloway, “an actress cast alongside Miller in this sinister tale. Together, the two young women make a desperate gambit to save him from his demons–whatever they may be.”

Chloe’s casting comes on the heels of her sister, Halle Bailey, revving up for the lead role of Ariel in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid. Both actresses also star in Freeform’s grown-ish.
